Removal of Route 195 Bridge Providence, RI
1994-2011
The last infrastructure project in the transformation of downtown Providence was the removal of Rt 195 overpass to make room for future commercial and public access development. In that location a new pedestrian bridge would be built to unite the Jewelry district with the rest of downtown Providence.
I was inspired by the ancient archaeological remains of the Roman Forum in interpreting this particular project.
